[MUSIC PLAYING] Welcome to Fortune Tech Debate where we discuss the issues of the day in two minutes. Google has released Stadia, its cloud gaming service. It's off to a rocky start, but is it the future of gaming? Lisa Marie, what do you think? Definitely not. In terms of the future, I don't think we're even going to see this product on the market in a couple of years from now. I think it's actually going to be just like Google Glass, where Google plays around with this new technology, it doesn't pan out, no one buys it, and then they drop it. If we don't have companies that are willing to invest long term-- which I don't think Google is-- I definitely don't see it in the future of gaming. Oof, Google feeling very attacked. There's some really appealing propositions, though, here. Let's say, for example, I want to play a PC-quality game on my phone. I love that idea. And 5G is just around the corner. So you've got really high speeds that can make streaming work. OK. But 5G isn't even here yet. And not every phone is able to have that power to really bring those graphics and what gamers expect. But I think most importantly, the 5G-- the internet speed connection-- is really important. A lot of places just don't have that technology and that bandwidth. And if we want mainstream buy-in, it's just not going to work for all of those people. But mainstream is exactly the point. Right now, if you want to play, let's say, a PC game or even a console game, there's a lot of money involved. You have to put down $400 for a PS4. You have to put down $1,000 for a PC with a couple of big screens. Google Stadia, you pay a few bucks a month for a subscription. Maybe you buy a couple of games. Very low barriers to entry here. Yeah, but let's be honest. If I already have a computer and I'm a pretty casual gamer, I'm not going to buy anything else. If I'm a hardcore gamer and I want to invest in that gaming PC with multiple monitors, I will. And same for consoles. But you don't have to do that. And there's a lot of flexibility already. So OK, what about the technical challenges? Some people can't even get a game to install properly on their desktop or laptop. OK, if we're talking about having trouble downloading, imagine how hard it will be trying to play online and dealing with lag. I just don't see it happening. A narrative or story is an account of a series of related events, experiences, or the like, whether true (episode, vignette, travelogue, memoir, autobiography, biography) or fictitious (fairy tale, fable, story, epic, legend, novel).[1][2][3][4] The word derives from the Latin verb narrare (to tell), which is derived from the adjective gnarus (knowing or skilled).[5][6] Along with argumentation, description, and exposition, narration, broadly defined, is one of four rhetorical modes of discourse. More narrowly defined, it is the fiction-writing mode in which the narrator communicates directly to the reader.

Oral storytelling is the earliest method for sharing narratives.[7] During most people's childhoods, narratives are used to guide them on proper behavior, cultural history, formation of a communal identity and values, as especially studied in anthropology today among traditional indigenous peoples.[8]

Narrative is found in all forms of human creativity, art, and entertainment, including speech, literature, theatre, music and song, comics, journalism, film, television and video, video games, radio, game-play, unstructured recreation and performance in general, as well as some painting, sculpture, drawing, photography and other visual arts, as long as a sequence of events is presented. Several art movements, such as modern art, refuse the narrative in favor of the abstract and conceptual.

Narrative can be organized into a number of thematic or formal categories: non-fiction (such as definitively including creative non-fiction, biography, journalism, transcript poetry and historiography); fictionalization of historical events (such as anecdote, myth, legend and historical fiction) and fiction proper (such as literature in prose and sometimes poetry, such as short stories, novels and narrative poems and songs, and imaginary narratives as portrayed in other textual forms, games or live or recorded performances). Narratives may also be nested within other narratives, such as narratives told by an unreliable narrator (a character) typically found in the genre of noir fiction. An important part of narration is the narrative mode, the set of methods used to communicate the narrative through a process narration (see also "Aesthetics approach" below).

Beijing travelers are due for an upgrade, and some new Jetson’s-esque technology.

On Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping officially inaugurated Beijing Daxing International Airport, located about 40 kilometers south of the country’s capital.

The opening comes a week before celebrations for China’s 70th anniversary, though some commercial travelers have already tested out the airport, which has been operating in a limited capacity for several days.

After almost five years of construction, the $63 billion facility features a 7.5 million square foot terminal and sits on 18 square miles of land, making it the world’s largest airport.

The airport was designed by the Pritzker-winning architect Zaha Hadid—who died in 2016—and is meant to resemble a phoenix, though it is more often described as a starfish or a hand.
